• Beach Plums are the size of a golf ball, in a plum/purple color, and will be numbered and tagged with instructions on how to register your treasure.
• While people of all ages can participate, only those 21 years and older are eligible to win the grand prize.
• Did you know Great Works Regional Land Trust’s Beach Plum Farm is one of the last places in Maine to find indigenous Beach Plums?

Beach Plum Pursuit – REGISTER YOUR FIND! (link not active, yet)

The Rules of the Pursuit

• Please only keep ONE glass Beach Plum, per household, per campaign.
• The trails open at 8 am for this event and remain open until dusk each day. A total of 40 will be hidden over the course of 3 days on each Ogunquit Conservation Area Trail, randomly added to ensure availability throughout the entire weekend.
• Register your find using the Beach Plum Pursuit Submission Form to be entered to win the grand prize (a gift basket from Great Works Regional Land Trust, including donations from local businesses, GWRLT swag, and our exclusive Beach Plum Jam!) Only one contest registration per finder is permitted.
• They will never be hidden more than 2 feet off any trails, but may be hidden up to 4 feet high.
• Stay on the trails, be respectful of animals and plant life, and practice Leave No Trace principles.
• At the bottom of the page is a list of each plum and whether they have been found, and where.
• Don’t forget to share your discovery on social media (Facebook and Instagram @GWRLT) and use the hashtag #BeachPlumPursuit
