As Great Works Regional Land Trust (GWRLT) celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, we do so with both pride and excitement: pride in our record of accomplishment over the past four decades, and excitement for the next chapter in advancing our mission of conservation, recreation, and education. To achieve our vision, the capital campaign is intended to accomplish the following:

1. Enhance and Expand Conservation Efforts: Establish an opportunity fund to acquire and create new conservation areas and secure new conservation easements.
2. Enhance and Expand Stewardship Efforts:
   1. Improve stewardship of existing lands, ensuring they remain healthy ecosystems, accessible and safe, and protected and beneficial for future generations.
   2. Ensure that all conservation areas meet high standards of consistent signage and maps to promote the user experience.
3. Increase Membership and Community Engagement:
   1. Engage local communities through educational programming and organized hikes and recreational activities.
   2. Double membership over the next decade.
   3. Expand opportunities for volunteers.
