No experience is necessary to participate. This is a family-friendly event.

A BioBlitz is a fast-paced species scavenger hunt. You will be participating in a CITIZEN SCIENCE project while helping GWRLT spot and record as many living things as possible in one place, in a short time. You can do this on your own or on one of the guided walks that will be scheduled throughout the morning. We will be using iNaturalist, Merlin, and eBird to record our observations. We can show you how to use these tools – please come with your cellphone and  apps downloaded.

BioBlitz kits containing magnifiers, maps, data sheets, and more will be available.

All hikes/events are open to the public and free of charge to GWRLT members. $5 donation per person or $10 donation per family is suggested for non-members.
