Desrochers Memorial Forest is a 135 acres preserve that abuts the South Berwick Town Forest. An extensive trail network offers many options for hikers such as a 1 mile meandering stroll through the forest to the scenic Great Works River.
Conserved in 2013, A donation of 138 acres abutting the South Berwick Town Forest off of Knight’s Pond Road. Donated by Mike and Patti Gallo, the property features 600 feet of frontage on the Great Works River with over 1500 feet of frontage on the river. Much of the property is young hardwood forest, with a mature stand of white pines along the river. A woods road runs down the middle of the property to the river, accessed via a spur trail from the Town Forest ROW.
Terrain: flat. Some sections of the trail goes through fields which makes checking for ticks very important. MODERATE.
