Earth Day Volunteer Collaboration
Celebrate Earth Day with GWRLT, the Sierra Club Maine Chapter, and your local partners in conservation! Instead of getting to work out on GWRLT’s properties this Earth Day Weekend, we’re turning our sights on our local Public Lands and Organizations. On Saturday, April 20th, join us for any of the following local events and cleanups:
Eliot
In partnership with the Eliot Conservation Commission.
Join us as we hit the trails of the Eliot Town Forest which abuts our Rocky Hills Preserve, to make trail improvements, including but not limited to removing storm damage and debris, opening up trails, and picking up litter.

Berwick
In partnership with the town of Berwick.
Join us at the Berwick Kayak Launch as help clean up some of the encroaching invasive bittersweet and knotweed, as well as help clean and prepare their two raised garden beds.

South Berwick
In partnership with the South Berwick Conservation Commission.
Join us for a community clean up! We’ll be gathering at the Community Center and setting out to pick up trash and debris in the surrounding public spaces

Ogunquit
In partnership with the Ogunquit Conservation Commission.
Or join us as the Conservation Commission of Ogunquit leads us in crafting native seed balls to help proliferate native and pollinator-friendly plants! All materials will be provided, and the products will be shared for planting in town and wherever participants desire!
