York River Archeological & Architecture Survey Results

RSVP 207-646-3604 or email.

After two years of study, the York River Study Committee has recommended designation of the York River and its major tributaries in the national Wild and Scenic Rivers System as a Partnership Wild and Scenic River. This designation is subject to community approvals and additional Congressional action.

The Committee hired Northeast Archaeology Research Center and Groundroot Preservation Group to conduct archaeology surveys and architectural surveys, respectively, for the upper portions of the York River. YRSC Coordinator, Jennifer Hunter, and the contractors from NARC and Groundroot Preservation who conducted the studies will present their findings.

This Saturday, February 24th

Tour the NEW Property in Berwick
