Votes for Great Works Yield $$
Great Works Regional Land Trust is grateful to have received $1675.00 from Kennebunk Savings' 2012 Community Ballot.
Customers of Kennebunk Savings Bank have recognized the value of conservation efforts by Great Works Regional Land Trust. As a result, we are the recipient of $1,675 from this year’s Kennebunk Savings Customer Ballot.
Bradford C. Paige, Kennebunk Savings President and CEO said, “I’m proud to be part of an organization that is dedicated to giving back to the nonprofit community. Each year our customers tell us what causes and non-profits are important to them and we respond by donating on their behalf.”
Great Works was among 25 organizations receiving $1,000 or more among the total 125 ballot recipients. In all, $80,000 was awarded in the Customer Ballot, which is part of the more than $500,000 that Kennebunk Savings will donate to nonprofits in 2012.
The donation provides essential unrestricted funding for Great Works for land preservation, stewardship of lands, and ongoing programs.
“Over the years, Great Works Regional Land Trust has often been in the position of thanking Kennebunk Savings for their commitment to the environment and other community causes,” said Tin Smith, the president of Great Works Regional Land Trust Board of Directors. “We never underestimate their generosity and the value of community, and we thank Kennebunk Savings’ customers for their votes,” added Smith, who is also Stewardship Coordinator for the Wells National Estuarine Reserve.
